We spent most of the day hanging out in our apartment with our daughter who basically just runs around and plays with everything. I think it looks like she is doing some kind of "work" when she plays. She goes from room to room, sometimes looking very purposeful, and moves toys here and there, playing with them as she goes. Anyway, after a pretty slow-going day, we went out for dinner at a new-to-us restaurant in town serving Bosnia dishes. It was quite good! We found it on Yelp! and it wasn't too far from our apartment. The food was good! Mediterranean with a twist, I would call it. I had the dinner special consisting of 3 dips (including something like tzaziki with cucumbers in it, an eggplant dip, and of course, hummus!), then the main course was a "Bosnian Pizza" with delicious meats and mushrooms on it, and for dessert I had a really good tiramisu. We decided to go to a local bakery for additional dessert! Hubby got a Tres Leches cake, giving the strawberries to our little one. I skipped since I was (and still am!) stuffed!
Tomorrow the plan is to check out Galveston for their restaurant week to get another special dinner in before he heads out to another rig. Hopefully he won't be gone for three weeks this time! Here's hoping!
